It was a fare the well evening for His Excellency, Thomas Schlesinger, the Ambassador of Austria to Nigeria who has completed his assignment in the country after five years.
According to His Excellency, his coming to Nigeria has left him with countless memories.
WOTCLEF recalls that the His Excellency Thomas Schlesinger hosted its Treasures and some others in their numbers. A fun filled experience still savoured till date.
On Tuesday April 22, 2025, the room of the reception was full to capacity. WOTCLEF Head, other stakeholders from both foreign, national and international communities listened with deep reflection as the Ambassador delivered his valedictory speech.
WOTCLEF’s official farewell note which was handed over in a letter to the Ambassador read thus:
Moments like this are deeply significant, as everyone at the Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF), reflects with fondness on the meaningful time spent with you during your stay in Nigeria.
Though we wished your stay could have lasted much longer, we understand that life is a journey of meetings and partings. And in parting, we hold onto the hope of meeting again.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Management, Staff, Volunteers, and Treasures of WOTCLEF, I write to bid you a heartfelt farewell as you prepare to leave Nigeria.
May you continue to cherish the beauty, richness, and warmth that Nigeria represents.
